Christmas Trees

Hasland and Grassmoor have been lit up this year thanks to Grassland Hasmoor Big Local...      Grassmoor TreeHasland Tree

A 16 foot Christmas tree stands proudly outside the Methodist Church in each village shining brightly with multi coloured lights and twinkling stars.

It is hoped that this will become an annual feature bringing each community closer together during the festive period. Look out for details of seasonal services  and activities on the Church notice boards.

Our thanks go to GHBL Living Environment Group, Philip Gladders electrician, Hasland and Grassmoor Methodist Churches.

Grassmoor Funday 7th July

collage

Blessed with wonderful weather Grassmoor Funday was very well received and supported by the local community.

There were lots of different things to try with over 20 stalls to visit.

The events committee had provided free activities including face painting, a bouncy castle and Extreme Wheels for the younger community members to enjoy.

In addition, White Post farm provided a very ‘hands-on’ experience with a variety of animals for all the family to enjoy.  At very short notice a local dance troupe stepped in to entertain everyone with their amazing show.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to all the volunteers who helped with organising, setting up and clearing away, without whom, this event would not have been possible.

A great example of the community spirit that exists in Grassmoor!
